So, here I’m now posting a picture of the first little thing i did for my project this year. I’ve even created a completely new topic called “projects” for this. My hope is that other people will do the same – post pictures/descriptions of their current project to get some response and discussion about it…

For this first month of school, the theme is “the social city” – dealing with the architectural consequences of social and psychological relations … These are of course in a way very abstract things that seem very difficult to express physically.
The israeli security fence is an example though – but what could a spatial concequence of being really annoyed with your mother, or falling in love with your roommate, be…?

In my project there are 3 people living and working… and as in all triangles, tensions very easely build up…even when they have guests. Their home is very open to friends and neighbors. But very complicated to be in because of constant loud arguments.

To try and work with all these issues I’ve attempted to create an object, that’ll fit roughly as a building in 1:100, but more important – be something you can imagine yourself into, something that, like a childs toy, you can easily attach some kind of character to.
I’ve tried to make it something that is both attractive and discusting… with some build in tensions… ambiguous, uncertain, without any clear conclusion as to how to look at it…

Hello all…

Since I’ll be doing a bit of travelling the next month I’d like to share my plans with our little community so I could have a beer and perhaps some advise along the way…

the 18. sept. I’ll land in Zagreb only to leave again imediately… which means I will be in Belgrade the 19. and 20. – unfortunately probably pretty busy at daytime but evenings of and I would really like to see some of you lovely people there…
Then we’ll be in Sarajevo the 22. and 23. – if somebody there would take me to a nice bar I would be very happy…
And then, luckily, we come back to Zagreb the 25. 26. (all day off) 27. and fly away again tuesday 28… unfortunately I’ve lost all my Croatian emails – so Jure, Ivona, Ivan, Ana… if you see this please get in touch so I can meet you in your beautifull city… :)))


And then from the 3. to the 10. of october I’ll be with my class on a study tour in wonderful Prague…so, if there’s any of you EASA-czechs who’ll have time to show us where the best beer is served that would be supernice…

EASA´s NC and people interested:

In order to continue this students interchange between EASA and CLEA (Lainoamerican Student of Architecture Coordinator) we need to know as soon as posible the people that is interested to come to our event this year, that will take place in Managua, Nicaragua, from 2th till 10th October.

It´s in yours hands the way you pick the people that´ll come here, but it will be great and we hope that at least one NC´ll come to keep a stronger contact between both organizations.

If you have any question, please let us know. If you´re not a NC and you are interested to come please contact them.

It´s a bit cold on the other side of equator but the Tango is warming everybody, not to mention the big nice argetinian steaks and nice nice redwine… I can recommend everything…

EASA rocks,
but it could be a whole lot more.
what happened in liverpool in 81 seemed like an amazing thing, people fed up with the bad state of things, coming together and DOing stuff

it was political in the sense that people came togehter to really do stuff, challenge the existing system, try to create something special and new

it seems though EASA has got quite lazy, going to islands and having a nice time is great, how far have we progressed?

in the meantime the world of architecture is lost, sustainability is talked about in only a trendy way

theres a lot of exciting stuff going on in the world at the moment, and for whatever reasons, EASA, which should be a really progressive creative force for positive change, does little and says nothing to the world

denmark this summer, is an attempt to get DOing stuff again, i hope those that go, enjoy it, love it, meet amazing people and have a great holiday, but i hope it doesent stop there

i hope people really take on the work, and with that turn EASA into an alltime community, a network that communicates with each other and does things all year, explores the full potential of what we could be doing, develops informed opinions and gives the closed world of architecture the kick up the arse that it needs so bad

whats stopping you, why are you being boring, get invovled,

it all seem that there are several easa related issues we really need to discuss in belgrade, so we can enhance our network and make future assemblies better. in order to be better prepared for it when incm starts, and to make up some sort of daily topics for meetings it would be great that we can discuss in advance what those topics should be [beside standard ones]…
sp [as flo put it;)] let us know! ideas on burning subjects of easa…
for eg. imho the process of choosing wrkshops and tutors and their presentaion online b4 easa should be discussed

so help us make this incm really productive and vise for easa future…
