Hi everybody! Here is my workshop proposal for EASA 006: easa006.goshaz.com; I was a little bit late with it’s submission, because I was overloaded with SESAM 006 Belarus organisation (well, you’ll see final repoert of that action soon), therefore workshop was mentioned as “the one working with a river” but rejected by organisers…
Last time I’ve received a lot of comments on this project from a deeply interested people, and I’ve decided to try to realize it in an informal way, by my own forces, maybe – with a little count of participants. As a true EASA veteran, I suppose, it will suit the EASA spirit wery good…
What do you think? Organisers? EASA people?
Two questions more:
1. I’m arriving to Budapest about the 21 of july. May I spend two days before action on the future EASA ships? Can I find another kind of free refuge? Can i help organisers in that time?
2. How will we receive guests on the EASA ships? It’s an important question for me, because Dmitri Souchin ( mitya.ebbs.net ), one of the Eric Van Egeraat’s architects, has contact me to ask, how could he visit EASA for some days?

We need your help more then ever. We still don’t have visas and we have no idea when will we have them. Our documents and passports are in Hungary now in The Ministry of Internal Affairs, department of immigration. I don’t know how but please contact the Misnistry and tell them to do something. We have no time left for anything. On14th is the last and final day we have to buy tickets. Imagine all the documents have to be sent back to Moscow and then to Tbilisi so this takes a lot of time. Send the ministry a fax or call them , I don’t know . There’s nothing else we can do you know, that’s why I am asking you to help. please also send FAX to Moscow asking them once again to take into consideration our situation.
We totaly depend on the visa , we are very close of being LOST COUNTRY this year.
Please help us somehow. Maybe they just say when the documents be in moscow so we know approximetely when to buy tickets. OUR flight is on 21st of JULY

.. getting along with architects? (if one is not an architect)
.. joining any other activity inside or around easa006?

Ooooooiiiiiiijjjjjjjjj! Waz up? unfortunetly I will not make it to Hungary this year, but is anyone up for England?
Me and my boyfriend Johan (also an architect…) are going to Britain tonight. Flying in to Stansted and then of with the wind (in a rented car). We have many ideas and plans but nothing set yet. We might head towards Bath/Wessex or down to Kent or both.
Criteria for the trip:
No criteria… but lots of food, gardens, countryside, swims and one or two nice buildings.
We might drive in to London tonight just to pass Piccadilly by night…. Stonehenge is it worth the gasoline?… Bath is it really that pretty?… Coast: were to go if you want to skip the most crowded spots?…
So anyone from the team last year or the 5 past… that wanna meet up for a bear or just have a thing to recomend-do it!

dear all,
before you all leave to enjoy another wonderfull EASA experience i would like to ask your attention for the following
last year the initiative for easa on a plane was taken by johannes and some other easa-people. the idea was to make an easa-like event which would research the role of airports in europe. since last year a lot has changed but we still working on this what we believe can become a wonderful project. currently a small organizing team (consisting of NC’s and EASA-dino’s) is working on the structure, funding and planning of this project while in the meanwhile we are doing research work for a preliminary publication. as the ambitious project is quite complicated to realize, we would like to ask the NC’s and/or EASA participants for some help.
for the preliminary publication we need plans of airports in europe. therefore i would like to ask you, if you are able to, to bring the following to easa:
in most airports there are free mini-maps available for passengers, but if you have anything better, please bring that as well
the idea is that it should show the location of the airport in relation to the city that it belongs to
please make sure the information is in english. from every country we only need the above information once, but if you have several airports that you can get information of, we would be very happy to receive it.
currently there is no budget to pay any expenses, so if there is a book or anything that you would recommend, just write down name author and isbn nr, or make scans.
personally i will not participate in easa this year, but i am planning to pass by budapest in early august to talk a little more on the project. if you are able to bring this information please hand it over to me or to marten dashorst, the dutch NC, who is also part of the team.

(yes, this is the middle bridge, the second line – counting from the top – crossing the river is a metro line, not a bridge…)

2. most probably it is not possible to sleep on the ship before easa,

ridiculous about giving newer and newer deadline, so i will not, plase
simply SEND THEM.

Helloe dear Hungarian organizers
2 questions that we couldn’t figure out from the homepage:
Is it possible to sleep on the EASA boats already from Thursday 20th? Or when is the first night we can crash? Most of us will arrive Friday and Saturday. If its not possible to get in, can you recomment any hostels.
Could you upload or send a nice how-to-get-there-guide and a map of the location?

Yakim Deykov a teacher from my university and very close friend of mine is opening his exhibition on 10 july 2006 at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in London.Everybody who is interested in the exhibition is invited.He will also hold workshop during EASA006 and you can ask him about his workshop.

hi everyone.
firsttimer going to easa this year. looking forward to it. have a small travel related question though.
i have to fly to stuttgart in germany after the workshop (around the 4th), and can’t really find an airline that charges a reasonable fee. does any of you guys out there know of any discount lines flying in that direction? maybe not exactly stuttgart, but something in that direction? Zürich, Switzerland will do as well…hope to hear from you.

hi every one, this is what i have just sent to all the nc-s (write me if you do not get it):
PLEASE send the application forms till 12:00!!
i have finished looking through the forms you sent me. i am sending all the list i made all together attached to this mail. these are – hopfully – final lists of participants, for confirmation. i also indicated if there is anything missing just after the names. also, i wrote if thre are more places in your quota than the applications you sent, but please CHECK it out anyway, i send the places table as well.
about the missing things:
1. we need a real and recognizable PHOTO of all of you, so that we can make the passes to the ships.
2. PASSPORT number is also important, we have to have that.
3. i think Janka is in contact with every one who needs visa/invitation, if you are not sure, please contact her.
4. many of you have not written even an ‘X’ to medical needs. i have given up writing it after every name, please ask around the participants if nothing really means ‘no’.
5. use of CAD programs/electronics: remember, we are on a ship, all technical support is to be brought there. it helps a grat deal if we know these things.
6. arrival/departure date: this is alsomissing in many cases. if you are coming together (all or most of a group), and know when and where you arrive, please write it to me. if you are coming earlier/leaving later and need help with accomodation, i can give you some hostel addresses (in a few days i will aend them to all of you anywa, but if you need any other help, just tell).
7. the most problemaic thing: portfolios. where i wrote ‘portfolio’ after a name it is either missing or doe not follow our template. this form is important, for this will be the only common thing is some 400 potrfolios, of which we are making an exhibition, so we need this unity of the form.
so please have in mind the following things:
- the porfolio should be ONE A3 page, portrait format
- it should be a .pdf, if possible not larger then 2,5 Mbyte
- be sure that at the bottom of the page (and not the top) you have your photo, your name, a personal introduction and a verbal intro to you projects – and they should be YOUR projects!
i attach the template also.
So, dear nc-s, this is it, do not forget to send all the application forms you want me to get till 12:00, for we cannot get accomodation and food to anyone who is not on my list by then.

one more thing: check out the total places table on our homepage (downloads menu), you can find the data under the acccomodation part as well, and see if you have sent all the forms to fill you final quota (with extras and tutors). if you ever sent anything i did not confirm to have recieved, send it again, for i have not recieved it. please also write if someone resigned, there are some who would need the place.

Hi every one,
PLEASE send me all the application forms that you have not send yet (of course, this goes mostly for extra places). It is very important and urgent, we have to have them by tomorrow 12:00 (noontime), because we have to make some contracts about accomodation and catering, (signing tomorrow!!) and for this we need some of your data, we need exact numbers and need to be as sure about them as possible, so we cannot cout in those whose app. forms we do not have. Do send them, we do not want anyone not to come because of this, but we cannot wait any more with this.
