WARNING!

Letterfrack midge-attack

Hello everyone!

I’m writing to you all to WARN you that Letterfrack is home to a very healthy population of mosquitos, or more accurately midgies, which exist there in ridiculous numbers. When there is no wind and no sunshine they are at their worst…so pray for sunny windy weather!

There is very little we can do to solve this problem so we are strongly advising people make preparations to protect themselves.

Therefore everyone who wishes to sleep peacefully should bring mosquito nets and insect repellent. The local people recommend Avon’s ‘Skin So Soft’ product, a moisturiser which coincidentally acts as a repellent, so try and source some of this before you arrive in Ireland. We will have a limited amount for sale at the Info Point during the event.

We will do our best to prevent these insects from accessing the sleeping accommodation but this is nearly impossible so we would encourage everyone to bring their own mosquito nets.

These insects have the potential to seriously upset sleep and workshops so please come prepared.

Could all NC’s ensure that this message has been received by all their participants.

See you all soon in midge-free Dublin!

Seán
