mail from jelk:
Dear Michael, Britta & Kasper, dear other NC’s,
I am very pleased to read in your e-mails that you are working in such an ambitious way on both INCM and EASA2003. I, and with me Geert-Jan (other dutch NC), really appreciate your efforts. I am looking forward to see you all again, and I am sure the time and activities will be very inspiring and interesting, I also see this INCM as a great opportunity to visit Denmark.
However, I must say we are somehow surprised with the time you want to take for the INCM meeting. I understood in Vis, Croatia, that you had an ambitious approach towards this years INCM, but your proposal this will
cause problems for me and Geert-Jan. We will NOT be able to spend so much time (a whole week!) to the INCM. Besides I think that if we meet one week in order to discuss a two week event that this is out of proportions.
I also foresee that more NC’s will have difficulties to take a week off from school or work. I would like to point out that it might be easier to coordinate if you hold the meeting as short as possible (2-3 days, like in Berlin). If the problems I foresee will come true, there is a chance the first part of the NC’s might come at the first half of the week while the second part will be there at the end of the week, while only a few will attend the whole INCM. I presumed you already understood this possible problem, but regarding the enclosed schedule you send us, you spread the program over the week. This is not good for EASA communication.
I would like to and consider it my task as dutch NC discuss with you about EASA and work with you on preparations for EASA’s and SESAM’s in 2003 and later, but I am not available for 8 days.
OTHER NC’s, PLEASE REPLY: CAN YOU TAKE OFF ONE WEEK OF TIME FOR THE INCM?
DANISH ORGANIZERS, PLEASE REPLY: IS THERE A WAY TO REDUCE INCM-TIME?
Ciao,
Jelk Kruk
Dutch NC
