Dear NC´s, near or far.
We would hereby like to officially open the EASA003 international student´s competition for an exhibition pavilion built on sustainable principles. We know that many of you have already been checking out our competition website at www.easa003.dk but due to some technical difficulties, we have not been able to make it official until this moment.
In the following we will give you the outlines of this competition and how to participate.
1. The competition is about the design of an exhibition pavilion of 100 square meters. 2. The deadline is 18. of April 3. The first prize is 1000 euros, free participation in the summer school and the realization of the project on the EASA003 site at Friland, Denmark, during the 14 days of the EASA003 from 27. of July to 10 of August. 4. There are 9 secondary prizes of free participation in the summer school. 5. The pavilion must be built from a set of predefined materials which we have listed on the website, and described in detail. 6. A range of sitemaps in various digital formats is available on the website.
7. Questions related to the competition can be forwarded to econ@easa003.dk where the competition team will answer them. If questions are found to be of general interest, both question and answer will be published on the website. 8. And very important!! Before engaging into the competition, please take the time needed to read through the material we have laid out, since there are important details, as well as certain rules and regulations that must be followed if disqualification is to be avoided.
We hope you will get as many participants from your schools as possible to join the competition. Remember that this is not only to get a good design for the pavilion but just as much to fuel good discussions all over the continent, about the nature of sustainability and its relation to architecture.
Good luck to you all!! (and to us)
Best wishes,
EASA003 competition team and organizers.
