more info on sesam04

hi everybody!
this is the email i (and some of you) received today from Muzaffer about sesam in Cyprus this april.
as not everybody received it, i am enclosing a copy of it here. there is also .doc file with list of some lectures and workshops (for International Gazimagusa Symposium 2004).
it is about combining already existing symposium and sesam, but still to me lot of things seem unclear.
what would be actual SESAM programme.
anybody has more comments, ideas ???

Hello friends hello from Cyprus …

We¡¦ve thought to organize SESAM in the North part of the Island -before the ¡§union¡¨ took place.
(that we hope to see this happened very soon)

Famagusta: [for further info – see:
www.cypnet.co.uk]
There will be a symposium in Famagusta, covering the dates of 12 -16th
April.
(this will include: exhibitions, workshops, lectures, etc.)

Our program will be parallel to the organization of SESAM.
(SESAM will be held on the dates of 10 -17th April.)

- In the first two days; we will meet and have a trip to the Island
(It has a real deep history. There will never be enough time to discover it
all! ļ)
- Then we will participate in the workshops
(new ideas of workshops are quite welcome. also we can decide to make our
own workshops, e.g. to represent EASA-SESAM,.. this can be an alternative
for example; but we should discuss on it.)

Within these days of preparation; we will be looking for better accomodation
conditions and some sponsors to support..

Accomondation Alternatives:
1- pitch up tents near the Cafeteria. (on the seaside).
2- stay in a hotel. (again on the seaside )
(freedom in beach to make activities, beach parties, etc.)

Also I will be waiting for your ideas about it..
I¡¦d prefer hotel ;)

About the fees everything is included: breakfast and dinner, accomodation,
trips;..
low prices are preferred for fees( aroun100-150 euro ;)
-still trying hard to arrange sponsors to get reduced-rate tickets-

I know that the travel will be hard to be organized throughout the semester
period; also the location: Cyprus.. But it will well worth the trouble!
And I think the timing is good within the Spring semester (April- beginning
of the second semester: no exam, no jury,..)
It will be a real good chance to relax and get the energy to move on the
semester ahead of all..

Quotas will be around 5-6 participants each country (flexible)–( and I want
from all of you ,your participant list (or number of list for now ) … it
is very important to let me know before 20 february )
And the web page will be constructed soon..
I hope to meet you all in April!

Best Regards,
Muzaffer Uyar ( NC )
