my architect

dear all,

yesterday i went to see the movie “my architect” with some friends. (about l. kahn / his bastard son etc) nice movie, i think it is a must-see, from all kind of perspectives. great filmic impressions of kahn’s masterworks, nice line up of old heroes: gehry, johnson (the guy with the glasses), pei, and many more, mostly with hilarious anecdotes. funny moments and touching story. brilliant documentary showing how hard it is to have an architect in your family and illustrating our typical architect’s behaviour. after watching this, your parents should be worried. childly advisory!

;-)

love,

Jelk NL

PS: after a second glance at the website i learned the movie might only be screening in The Netherlands, France, UK, USA, Canada and Australia. However, it is available on DVD (for $22,46 amazon.com has it). For the unhappy architecture students that are not living in one of those listed countries, you still can buy it, consume it, and even see it!!!
