Hi All! Happy to be there again! Happy new year, marry Christmas etc! Sorry, I was out of the EASA community for some months – I’d a lot of things to do. That’s why I’ll ask some stupid questions to organizers and NC’s:
1.)Who is the contact of organizing team?
2.)What should I do to register my workshop theme for the EASA’05?
3.)As I know Switzerland is not a country of Shengenian declaration. But me and some people from my country are a principal hitch-hikers, so, we need a Shengenian visa too. Can someone of the Shengenian countries NC’s invite us for the time of EASA?

dear EASAians
greetings from duncan from ireland
as you are all well aware, there was a massive natural disaster on st. stevens day. the tsunami in SE asia, allready there are 150,000 deaths and that is set to rise.
im sure you have all been donating in your areas, it has been a great response by the world.
last year there was an earthquake in iran which killed @ 50,000 people, a few of us here in dublin decided to organise a fundraiser, we raised @ €7,000 for the earthquake victims in bam, iran. all in all @ 40 people joined in the walk, @ 8 did all of it (26 miles)
we are doing it again this year. also, friends who did it last year but who now live in other countries have said they will do walks on the same day in their hometowns and i am writing to you in an attempt to get some of you to also do walks on that day in your own countries.
my home number is 00353-1-xxxxxxx if you want to call, please email me back saying if you think that maybe some of your EASA/ ark school might do a walk on those days in your city.

it has been a busy year.
After finally doing “playing with phi” land sculpture on lahinch beach just over a year ago, after waiting about 3 years, things have been pretty hectic.
it was quite a political year with the war being on and ireland having the EU presidency; the mayday demo against the direction the EU is taking and george bush`s visit to ireland being the biggest events.
on stevens day, dec 26, tragedy struck Iran. 40 of us walked dublin bay and raised €7,000 for the earthquake victims in Bam, Iran.
but it was also a hugely creative year, irelands first IMC (independant media centre) was set up for 10 days around mayday, which was amazing. later in the summer we turned a shed in a back garden into the jamaican bar and made a few new cocktails.
with EASA04 there were highs and lows. overall i feel we did some great small things but on the whole EASA did not produce the magic that perhaps LA CP was expecting from them, that being, in my opinion, to go out and mix with the people of roubaix, excite them and from that encourage them to play in LA CP. it was a great challenge, EASA architects went back to the city and the people: i feel we could have done a lot better.
back home after EASA there was festivals, tournaments and urban play
theres a good buzz here in dublin with a crew trying to make a social centre and to do some urban gardening
but now its thesis time and a new ecological corridor for the city is being explored and hopefully that idea will soon become a reality.

ALex, Jelk and other festive indulgers
Whisky Butter
Ingredients:
75g unsalted butter
75g sieved icing sugar or caster sugar
2 tbsp whisky – although one should not be too conservative.
Method:
Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Gradually beat in the whisky.
Chill before serving.
Whisky butter can be kept for several weeks if made with fresh butter and stored covered in the fridge. Serve with Christmas pudding and warm mince pies.
p.s I have returned to civilisation for a time. I hope we all enjoyed our Decembers! Bring on January I say!
