we have just started a new community garden here in dublin and we would like to know if there is similar projects in your towns and cities. if so perhaps you could give us their info, websites, adresses, photos…
perhaps some of you are already involved in a similar project.
this is part of greening the city project which is attempt to make an ecological corridor/greenway for the city









past reports with images and audio clips from week:
tree walk around dublin city
opening of garden with tree planting ceremony
spud night

initial workshop for the garden happened 2 weeks ago

Hello ppl!!!

APELA is this new portuguese association that represents the students and the new-graduated in architecture and we want to put everybody talking about all the problems we have in Portugal concerning architecture.
I knew Herman in last October, in a congress we had in Coimbra, and we told him that we want to put Portugal again in the EASA map. So, here we are!
The portuguese nc is missing for so long and I wonder how can we change it.
APELA is preparing some summer activity and we hope to say somethig soon.
I’m sorry for my english, I’m a bit rusty. ;)

dear all – there have STILL been some complications about the tutorpack. i thought i had solved the problem, but with every website update, the old one was online again. now, the problem is definitely solved, so if you’d please download the latest version!

the most important news in there: some “suggested core outputs” that are supposed to give you an idea of the outcome your workshop might have, of the range we imagine and of the directions we’d like to be treated most concerning our wide theme.

the website has experienced another small update. you find a new “financial/support” section. some competition info (with a few pics that might work for montages – though it was very difficult to find an appropriate place for taking pics…) and other details have been added too.

so far, we have 11 participants, 2 competition entries and 3 workshop proposals from you. we want more :-)

Hi all. long time since we’ve met now, some since belgrade, others since france already! find myself checking the swiss hompage more and more frequently. Looking good! Since you have a hand with watches and time down there, what about fast forwarding a bit? Maybe that could put the org. in a slim situation..

I was hoping to get some interesting tips from y’all about churches around the globe. Churches or other buildings that could be interesting from a spatial point of view, lighting, general spiritualness etc… My school project is supposed to be a lutheran church, but this is not really important at this point.

I’m not sure I’m posting in the right place but I had some questions and after searching the internet I thought it might be helpful to come to the source- people who actually involved in the architecture field. My boyfriend is Australian and therefore not able to work in the US without being sponsored. He is currently employed drafting for an architecture company in England and is interested in coming to the USA when his 2 year visa is up….so he would have almost 2 years experience there and another year of experience from Australia. Basically the question is, how hard would it be for him to get sponsored by a company here and does anybody know how you go about doing so? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
