Dear Poles,

On the 12th to 24th of September I am attending a workshop arranged by the Warsaw University of Technology (Dr Roman Wrzosek I think) Anyway, I believe the workshop has something to do with the relationship between art and architecture (we will do a lot of drawing I think)

I think the places are limited and have already been awarded to people, although I’m not sure about the situation in Poland. Either way, if any of you would like to meet up let me know at andrihaflidason at hotmail dot com I do remember meeting a few of you (you made me guess where you were from – I did get it second time I think!)

I’m currently compiling a slideshow of successful workshops of the last few years EASAs. As I have photos of a lot of them, there is a few I would really like, if anyone can help me out:

1. Trans-ID (EASA005) – the finished article
2. Trash’d & the other recycled furniture workshop (I’m sorry I forgot the name of it)
3. The workshop in Budapest that was based along the Duna in the park with all the different textures and the rope maze (can’t remember much from Budapest huh!!)
4. Any other suggestions, I have taken photos from most of the Swiss workshops from the report so don’t worry about it

This slideshow is to explain what happens at EASA, I don’t need seriously large resolutions,

CITIES: ARCHITECTURE AND SOCIETY

from 10th sep to 19th nov.
opening time: 10 – 18.00 closed on monday!!!
ticket: 13euro adult, 8euro students under 26 ( bring a document of school)
the biennale is divided into 2 expo: ARSENALE and GIARDINI
the ticket is valid for both places, one entrance for each place, but you can visit them in different days.



it takes 4-5 hours to visit arsenale but the whole day to visit gardens.
in venice there are no transport except boats, but they are a little expensive.
you can take the boat called ‘ vaporetti’ to the gardens or to arsenale from STATION ( piazzale ROMA) or form SAN MARCO SQUARE that goes through CANAL GRANDE. its very nice but often really crowded, expecially if you visit the city during the weekend
i think the best way is to go during the week, there are less tourists, also in the biennale expo….!!!!
its really nice to go by walking, from PIAZZALE ROMA to the GARDENS is about one hour walking, and you can see RIALTO BRIDGE and SAN MARCO SQUARE with the cathedral and the palace of the DOGE, and walk thorugh the little fashinating streets of venice.
but remeber to buy a map, because is really easy to get lost!!!

hello lovely easans!
came back home to istanbul yesterday, after a long journey : Sziget festival, one more week in budapest (sponsored by Ron & Judit), and one crazy week in Sarajevo!

i’ve been to Kassa, our sleeping-partying ship once more and u wont fuckin believe what i saw! Owners of Kassa changed its name as “Debrecen” and they are planning to use the ship as a public space with cultural activities in it. So i’ve been to this champagne-bottle-throwing name-changing-ceremony with the organizers and the old crew and captains who worked there years ago. We were in the middle of danube with tousands of people and the local media watching the event!

dear all,

after i left easa006.hu i spend some weeks in croatia and a night in slovenia, but now i finally arrived home in dutchia. when normal life is slowly being reintegrated in my system, i remembered some things we discussed on the last nc-meeting in budapest, and i should post on the blog here.

1. website/blog
as we were discussing the potential improvements on our sweet easa.tk website + blog, there is the website of the cousin organisation (european geography association) that could be an example for our easa website, egea.geog.uu.nl. the design might not be to your preference, but the underlying stucture seems to work quite nice. it is quite vivid and organized by regions, cities etc in europe, with shoutboxes, calendars, forums, personal websites, a mailsystem etc etc.

it is hosted in utrecht,NL and i might have a connection to the guys who run it, if requiered.

2. flightlab request
we are working on the flightlab project, the research project on the role of airports in europe, and for this we need your help! i would like to ask for your co-operation for information on your local airports, as written here. it would be great if you could read and contribute!!! if any questions, please contact me, or leave a comment.
so far i already received info from russia (thnx inara) and germany (thnx ivonne)

3. third thing
i remember there was a third thing i was supposed to post, but i forgot what it was. please, is there someone who remembers? jim, marko?

I’m not sure if this is naughty or goes against any forum ethics. If so I’m sorry. Anyway here goes.

Me and three others mantain a website called UNEASYsilence www.uneasysilence.com . It’s a “weird news” blog and in it we post articles relating to many categories including tech, gadgets, humour, stupid stuff and other information. It’s highly updated daily with lots of cool things. I invite you to come by every now and then and leave comments if you so wish. :)

The site is mostly American and I’m the “European link” so to say. If you have any information of weird goings on in our side off the world please inform me! It’ll be great to make the site more international.

i just got the cd package from mr rune.dk, with a smashing easa dancing people video /its a definite mtv material/ and i am suppose to send it to 3 new people. one is going to a certain girl in greece :), and 2 more are waiting,….so be fast and write your adresses!! 2 other cd’s from rune were sent to italy and malta so if you are late to this post ask there..
