“urban song line” is so a workshop theme “à la mode”…we are doing it in glasgow as well, so i thought about you Adam! the tutors gave us some cool websites, have a look that could be interest you…

it wasn’t so long ago…easa006

as you may all heard its snowing in moscow! one of the reasons is that the cro team has finally chosen and uploaded easa006 pictures on flickr. it wasnt so easy with the dial up connection, and donkey fedex post that was connecting us participants to get photos all at one place!
if you don’t find yourself on one of the photos, you weren’t there… :o)

Hey guys! Ready yet?

The slovenian bunch have decided to have some preparatory training for the INCM… We decided to get our liver used to german beer before kicking it up to russian vodka, and also get a head start on the whole sleep deprivation thing.

In other words, we will be running around Berlin from 31st – 4th, when we fly onwards to Moscow. Anyone else interested in berlin barhopping this week?

Money woes and time pressures mean you will have to do without my “medical” “expertise” in old Ruski – really wish I was coming – alas twas not to be. Next time though ;-)

Having great difficulty tracking down those pesky Icelanders – the website for the school has dissappeared, and so apparently has my contact there! Will keep trying – might be over there in May so you never know.

Anyway – have a blast everyone!

Hello everyone. Well INCM Moscow is all most upon us. Is every one nice and excited? 7 days of discussions, vodka, and 3 hours sleep.

Any way, just wanted to sort out some little travel issues. WHO IS GOING BY TRAIN??? basically I’d just like to know because I am nosey. I will be there, so it will be some kind of fun. Also, direct question to my old mate Toms. Is it true you have floors in your flat? And if so, can I borrow one to sleep on, on the 3rd? No presure, but it’s either that, or I sleep in Riga station.

Right, with that out the way, all I have to do now is wait with fingers crossed to get my visa back in time.

our new semester with kees christiaanse will deal with the development of split. therefore, i expect fireworks of information on this medium here :-)

i definitely think many of you have had projects in this fantastic place, so i’d be very happy to share some of these. besides that, useful links about the city and maybe a few hints where to go at night would be great.

and above all, the greatest thing would be to meet some of you there or at least on the way there. we are leaving from zurich on saturday 28th and leave again on the 2nd. otherwise no further info till wednesday.

Was just on Amazon, looking for a book and I discovered that some users had created lists such as “top ten books for architecture students,” and I thought…..

What I’m suggesting is, why don’t we all mention a book that has influenced our work (e.g S/M/L/XL, Learning from Las Vegas etc….) Treatys, fictions, textbooks, all kinds of written word. We might even find some good material from one another, relevant to our current projects!

I’ll set the ball rolling with:

Architecture of the City, by Aldo Rossi, as I’m currently hanging around the old town!
