a couple of friends are organizing a workshop at the Venice Biennale on the future of architectural education – something we in Delft are pretty much on top of right now due to some fire or something.
Anyway, anybody attending the Biennale, and especially on Sunday September 14th, is invited to participate in this workshop – free lectures by Wolf Prix, Ole Bouman, Michiel Riedijk and Andrew Bullen included!

Hey Erhan, Im just trying to find out some information about buses going from Larnaca and Paphos to Nicosia, its kind of hard. Do you know of any websites I can find prices and timetables, because the little information i can get it looks quite tricky. Thanks! Hope you are nursing the sun back to health for us…

I want to thank all the Irish boys and girls (hard working, good looking people) for makeing EASA008 a great one! I also want to send a special thanx to Hugo for inventing Ireland & organizing EASA all by himself & for stopping the rain at least for the last days. I also want to thank my mom and dad for allowing me to go to Ireland, although it is very very far away! THANK U ALL AND HOPE TO C U AGAIN!

There are little red rings around my calfs. As I enter my second day under my duvet in pjamas eating baked beans I just want to thank you guys again. The last few days of tidy up were great stuff and made me realise a little bit more how much the organisers did for us and the insane effort that went into making EASA08. Patterson I miss you (and the rest of yis).

hey hey….. it just started to rain….and the serbian crew started to laugh…. some of the members of our team are complaining that they left their hearts in ireland so to those who are keeping them… make sure to bring them to italy next year.
to the irish guys…. u were fabulous and fantastic…. we love u and those two weeks were unforgetable.
to all other people thanks for staying showing that easa spirit is stronger than weather stronger then everything…..
i acctually miss the rain and miss u all sooooo much.

Dear EASA people,
I want to thank all EASA008 organizers for their great performance. Despite all the difficulties they have managed everything so well. We wished helping more but its never easy to coop with others excluding the organization team… Anyhow one another EASA experience came to an end sucessfully. We are hoping to catch same quality for our INCM008 organization in Cyprus. However I want to let you know from now that we need NC’s help for moderation and minute writing. Who would be volunteer for these two jobs?
Moderation would be assigned for a day only not to make it tiring, so we need at least 5 people for that and 5 people for minute writing. I would prefer to propose good english speakers with good knowledge of EASA and its organizational experience.
Those countries who are willing to beat for EASA 2010, please let us know in advance that we can re-arrange our program(Even its a possibility! we want to be prepared for most crowded case).Latest end of SEPTEMBER! This is an important point since we are not going to spend all our time in same meeting room. Different spaces will be arranged for different events so we have to know what you need in advance. To wrap it up, if you dont want any surprises or difficulties in abnormal Cyprus, let us know soon…
One another issue is to collect names of participants for the INCM008 just because we will have to inform United Nations in advance about the event because we will use their meeting rooms.
Final issue is about the countries which are willing to come to cyprus and needs visa. We want to send their invitations as soon as possible so, we have to first gather their names to do that. Please let us know until 10th of SEPTEMBER!

PS.I want to clear some points about EASA2010 evaluation from now. Those countries who are willing to beat, they would get extra places depending on their teams. Except last EASA008 and EASA009 organizers would also have chance to bring their teams. But only NC’s are going to be counted for debates to sustain consensus.

… BIG THANKS for your welcoming open arms, didactic input, caring, worrying, listening skills, sweat, tears, sleepless nights, comforting words, hot whiskey, hugs, running around, understanding, prompt answers, surveillance, guidance through the mountains, charm chatting, and the most possible with a wide open smile in your faces… it’s probably not new that I have a special crush by Irish people, so here I openly declare my gratitude and love for you all!
Congratulations for the wonderful results in the workshops, which are obviously the product of tutors and participants’ work (well done everybody!), but for which we all must praise your enormous input to make it possible.
I got home a few hours ago, getting cozy at a surprisingly warm Amsterdam and ready for an ordinary working day tomorrow, but, as we all know, heart and mind are still hanging around there in the beautiful wild nature of Letterfrack. I know most of you will still stay busy there for the next few days, so I wish you a great, enjoyable, relax despite working week!!! And you should definitely get some pleasure out of the work we’ve done… like for instance get some “Zauna” moments… I would be very happy to know you did!

So EASA008 has finally come to an end( well for the participants anyway).
Its hard to believe the its all over.
These last too weeks have been the most exciting, tiering, energetic, exhausting, saddest, happyest, longest, shortest, best, worst, memorable, forgetable, crazyest, wettest, emotional
the most unforgetable two weeks of my life.
I know that makes no sense what so ever, but fuck it neither does EASA.
I hope Ireland has given a little bit of easa spirit to bring back to your own countries.
I would just like to thank the great easa participants and also my fellow organisers who are a fantstic groupe of people.

I’m back home now and resume work on my thesis bright and early tomorrow morning so thoughts of EASA 008 will have to be put on hold then, but for now I just want to extend (again) my heart felt thanks to the organisers who provided an excellent platform for this years participants to perform, and looking at the out put I think we can all agree that they rose to the challenge.
So here’s to EASA 008 a tremendous success.

Today EASA kicks off in Dublin, how things have moved on since Ireland was a “lost country” back in 2001…
Todays begins with what should be a very interesting discussion: Dublin’s Metamorphosis
This will be followed by about 12 guided tours of the city, including the Green and Blue walk: eco threads for Dublin city
This is an EASA event and is open to all the public, we will walk and talk, imagine what Dublin as an eco city might look like and think about strategies to turn these BOLD eco ideas into tomorrows realities…
The Botanic Spine is an architectural project for Dublin city in Ireland. The proposal is for an 18-kilometre ecological corridor, or greenway, for Dublin city, which is to be called the “botanic spine”. The spine is a circular loop through the city that links up the river Liffey, the royal and grand canals, the botanic gardens and Europe’s largest city park, the phoenix park. The spine is a “pearl necklace” type of park with the narrow line of the canal and the green space along its edges threading through a series of pocket parks, which house public buildings of interest. The Liffey will be spanned by a public walkway, alongside the rail bridge, through the soon to be developed lands around Heuston station and by an adjustable bridge spanning the river on the east side.

i wish you all 2 have nice weather, lack of mosquitos, amazing parties, super productive workshops and as the GGG /gorgeous greek girls/ would say “the time of your life”…
